What does your role do at D-EDGE, and what does a typical day look like?
On a day-to-day basis, I'm in charge of the consulting team that implements performance measurement solutions. We help our customers set up the tools they need to ensure the performance of their various digital assets. Internally, we also make sure that our products are always up-to-date in terms of technical specificity. It's a subject I'm passionate about, because it's constantly evolving. We have to make sure that we're always up-to-date with the latest technological and regulatory developments, and that's our biggest challenge today.
Why did you choose to join D-EDGE?
I chose to join D-EDGE because it was very important for me to ensure that I would evolve in a professional environment that is committed to innovation, really focused on technical issues, and thus able to perpetuate my expertise.
Do you have a favourite memory or anecdote?
When I think back to my first months at D-EDGE, there's one anecdote that immediately comes to mind: it's obviously the seminar we organized for the launch of the new D-EDGE Agency in Venice, where some of our teams are based. For me, just a few months after my arrival, it was the first opportunity to meet all my colleagues in an absolutely idyllic setting, and it was clearly very beneficial to the development of team spirit and cohesion.
Which of D-EDGE's values resonates with you the most?
One of the company values that was very important to me, and which I could see was really important to D-EDGE, is "We care about people", and in particular the work-life balance. I've seen some of my colleagues recently become parents, and I've seen the care and attention they receive at D-EDGE to ensure that they can enjoy these exceptional moments without their professional lives getting in the way, when they need to be 100% focused on their daily lives with their families. Having experienced these moments myself in a completely different professional context, I know that it's not the same everywhere.
What are the main challenges you face in your job?
The D-EDGE Agency was created within D-EDGE to address not only technical issues, but also user acquisition via our customers' direct channels. The idea is to make them less dependent on the various OTAs and enhance the value of their website and reservation centre. On a daily basis, we create digital marketing campaigns for them on the various platforms. We also help them with organic referencing and performance measurement.
What would you say to someone thinking about joining D-EDGE?
What I think is very important to bear in mind when joining a team like D-EDGE is that, in addition to your technical expertise, you need to be able to put forward your interpersonal skills and soft skills — everything that, on a daily basis, will enable you to fit in within a team at D-EDGE and play an active part in the collective effort.
