More than a motto: we learned to save lives at the office ❤️🔥
We've all heard the phrase "we're not saving lives here!" at some point in our careers—a quick way to put things into perspective. But last week, at our D-EDGE office in Paris, we challenged that idea by doing exactly what the saying suggests: we learned how to save lives.

In partnership with the French Red Cross, our teams participated in an insightful first aid workshop. The goal was to equip everyone with the skills to confidently and effectively respond to an emergency.
The power of being prepared
During the session, the volunteers from the Paris 1-2 local unit guided us through crucial steps and reflexes, including how to:
- 🩹 Manage an emergency situation, staying calm and in control.
- 📞 Alert emergency services effectively, providing clear and concise information.
- 👍 Take the right actions at the right time, from the correct hand placement for CPR to the Heimlich manoeuvre.
The volunteers also gave us a powerful overview of the French Red Cross's essential missions, from emergency response and social initiatives to providing training for all. This highlighted the full scope of their work, inspiring many to think about how they could contribute.
A personal connection to a company value
This impactful event was made possible thanks to Niccolo, one of our colleagues who is also a dedicated French Red Cross volunteer. His effort in co-organising this workshop is a great example of how our D-EDGERS embody our company values in their personal lives and bring them back to the professional sphere.
💜 We believe that investing in our team's well-being and community engagement is key to our collective success. This is why D-EDGE offers its employees 12 solidarity days a year, providing time and space to volunteer for causes they care about.
Feedback from our teams:
- Orane: "A super useful workshop! I hadn't practised first aid since my school days, and I feel much more confident about how to react in an emergency now."
- Guillaume: "I found this introduction incredibly interesting, and personally, I'd like to take the full first aid qualification."
- Zoubair: "These workshops taught me useful actions I didn't know. I also took the opportunity to get all the information needed to become a Red Cross volunteer, which is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time."
