🌍 THE ENVIRONMENT
As a key stakeholder in the hospitality industry, D-EDGE processes large amounts of data on behalf of its customers, as well as for its own usage. An important share of those data are business oriented both internally (D-Edge usage) and externally (Clients usage).
🧑🤝🧑 ABOUT THE TEAM
At the scale of the company, the team is young, but taking importance regarding its growing ability to provide reliable data based answers.
Today, the team is composed of :
2 data Engineers in charge of the technical part of the activity :
- Build and maintain the systems aimed at collecting, storing, processing and providing data
- Assist feature teams in modeling data and make it available to the Data Engineering team
1 data Director in charge of answering one shot questions that are data related and providing dashboards to the different teams of the company for recurring data questions.
The team has taken over ‘client’ reporting and is planning to take over this part of the scope to new levels, regarding the data prepared and the way they are provided to the hotel.
🎯 WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Working closely with the data director, you will be in charge of defining and creating interesting and reliable reports for the company as well as for our clients.
Data Analysis
- Collect and challenge needs and wishes from clients (internal/external)
- Identify relevant KPIs and metrics to calculate
- Design reports, configure analytics tools and create dashboards
- Present data and explain results to avoid misunderstanding
Research & Prospective
- Explore new solutions and technologies aimed at improving the company data backbone
- Participate in proactively identify team / client future needs
- Assess ways to add value to our data :
- thinking on a ML approach.
You report to the Data Product Director.
🎒 WHAT YOU’VE GOT IT:
- You have experience in data analysis.
- You have a good knowledge of SQL.
- You have a good knowledge of data storage platforms (Google BigQuery is a plus but not mandatory).
- You are familiar with data visualization tools such as Google Looker Studio, Tableau knowing that we should work soon on SuperSet..
- You have a collaborative way of working and a willing to share your experience
- You are demonstrating an ability to adapt and be flexible.
- You have excellent organizational and time management skills, and work independently.
- You have the ability to present complex things in a simple manner.
- You are a problem solver and have sharp analytical skills.
- You speak and write French and English fluently.
- Traveling in foreign countries might be required.
