🧑🤝🧑 ABOUT THE TEAM
As a Staff Infrastructure Engineer, you actively participate in defining, deciding, and implementing technical solutions for our Cloud and on-premises platform in alignment with business needs, processes, security, and D-EDGE standards. Your role is predominantly operational, with strong hands-on involvement in resolving complex technical issues, accelerating build/run projects, and mentoring the DevOps teams. You also participate in formalizing guidelines, enhancing methodologies, and supporting teams in technological modernization efforts.
You collaborate closely with Infrastructure teams (DevOps, DB, Network) and Product & Tech tribes.
🎯 WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
The missions of the Senior DevOps are:
Operational / Technical:
- Mentor DevOps teams, sharing best practices to enhance their skills and efficiency.
- Directly engage with various technical projects (build and run) to accelerate delivery and resolve complex issues.
- Actively resolve critical technical problems to ensure the smooth functioning of the platform.
- Ensure engineering principles are respected and continuously improve related processes.
Strategic / Staff:
- Collaborate with other Staff Engineers to define cross-functional technical standards.
- Act as the key contact for a specific product tribe regarding infrastructure, architecture, modernization, and observability.
- Work closely with management teams to proactively anticipate technical evolutions required for growth.
- Quarterly evaluate product teams' infrastructure-related needs (DevOps, Database, Network) to refine the technical roadmap.
- Contribute to continuously improving DevOps methodologies, enhancing collaboration with development teams.
- Maintain constant technological vigilance, promoting and disseminating best practices.
You report to the Head of Platform Standalone.
🎒 WHAT YOU’VE GOT IT:
- 10+ years of experience across various infrastructure domains.
- Proven experience in high-growth environments.
- Extensive technical knowledge including:
- Cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Kubernetes (EKS, Karpenter).
- Linux (CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu) and Microsoft (Windows Server, IIS) technologies.
- Relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, Redis, ElasticSearch).
- Networking and security (VPN, NGINX, WAF, routing protocols, SAML).
- DevOps and CI/CD practices (GitLab, ArgoCD).
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
- Directories (Active Directory, Google Directory).
- Strong ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
- Expertise in diagnosing and quickly resolving complex incidents.
- Ability to analyze, design, and implement robust, secure, high-performance architectures.
- Autonomy, proactivity, and excellent prioritization skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adapted to different audience levels.
- Good English level (written and spoken).
- Personal qualities: teamwork, intellectual curiosity, responsiveness, rigor, and a strong sense of responsibility.
